Beginner Class

Our next beginner class will be tomorrow at 1pm. The instructors will be bad sam and Erica.

We have our beginners class on Tuesdays starting at 7PM, so we have to be open by that time if not a little earlier.

my workout from yesterday:
3 rounds
10 cleans 115# (~75% bw)
10 pull ups
10 bench press 155# (~bw)
14:36 (approximately 5 minutes per round)

I was only using a single barbell so I spent a lot of time swapping plates and maneuvering it from the floor to the cage, but I definitely used that as recovery.

Next time I'll try 5 rounds instead of 3.

080713 WOD (HSPUs & L pull-ups)
done at home

HSPU
hand width @ shoulder press distance (~thumbs length from waist)
top of head to floor (no additional depth)

L pull-ups
attempted chest to bar, but fatigued early on
sets quickly devolved to triples and then doubles at the final rounds

compare to 080322 18:49
probably narrower hand distance, most likely nose to floor

30 muscle ups
done Chelsea-style, paced ~5 MU's every minute on the minute until 30 reps
sets were 5-5-5-5-5-3-1-1

At the end I overlapped a bit with Sam who was making up yesterday's WOD and we had to share the Elite rings.

Last time I took 8 minutes flat.

Good work again, beginners class!

Today's workout started off with Tabata push ups, followed by this WOD:
5 rounds:
100 single unders
10 pull ups
10 overhead squats (w/ PVC)
