Workout

"Murph"

For time:
1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run

Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you've got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

I has sprained carpal bone! "Occupational Therapy" starts tomorrow. Looking at 3-4 more weeks of heal time before the grip returns. :( Hopefully with some aggressive OT, I can shave that down a bit.

WOD @home:
run down 4 stories (80 steps)
run around blocks (figure 8 course) ~0.7 miles
run up 4 stories (80 steps)
80 GI Janes (first 15 were chin over bar, remaining 65 were chest to bar)
run down 4 stories (80 steps)
run around blocks (figure 8 course, opposite direction) ~0.7 miles
run up 4 stories (80 steps)

GI Janes went really slowly. Taped up my hands similar to this

but nowhere near as well.
Still, it saved the tear on my palm that I got from yesterday's rope climbing misadventure.
Runs didn't feel so bad, although I'm unsure about my pacing. I forgot to note my splits.

By the way, I'm totally counting those GI Janes towards my daily burpees as well as towards tomorrow's. F*ck the rules, it's past midnight somewhere in the world.

Michelle - I'm not sure. I can't remember a defining hit or incident at Pennsic and I wasn't drunk enough not to remember such a thing, so I don't know when exactly this happened. Just noticed it after a while as a "Ow...what's that about?" What can I say, I've got skillz... :)

Jeff - You need to help Sam, Erica, and I figure out that taping style. We were looking at it today but just didn't quite nail it.

Oh, I did 400 squats in 15:36, including some "DJ breaks". I'd like to try an all out go in a few days.

You have more experience with that taping than I do. "I learned it by watching you!"
Let us know how the therapy goes.

I also need to mention that the bar used for GI Janes is set at 85". That's not much of a jump to get the pull up.
