Slower time could be attributed to:
layoff from a 1.5 week vacation
using 2 bars instead of 3
doing singles of the cleans (rather than quadruples, triples and doubles)
doing a few extra reps
poor pacing, lack of intensity
Other notes:
I used the same barbell and added/removed plates for the DLs and cleans. So I occupied 2 barbells and left 2 free. I don't recall anybody at all even using those other bars so I guess I could have used 3.
Cleans, which were the hardest part last time, were relatively easy now that my strength and form have improved. However, they were perhaps not done as quickly as last time. Being able to drop the bar makes a huge difference--it's like I only have to do 60% of the work if I don't have to lower the bar. Unfortunately, dropping the bar means that I can't do anything but singles.
Deadlifts were broken up into two partitions for the 10-, 9-, and 8- rep sets, and unbroken for the remainder. Benches were unbroken. Cleans were mostly singles because I dropped the weight for most of them.
