Who has given up on the 100 Day Burpee Challenge? (and on what day did u decide to end it all?)




Is anyone interested in running this on a track? I know that this is an incredibly boring way to do it, but I would like to get an accurate gauge of pacing for my race next week, so I will probably head up to Maccaran park.
I gave up on the Burpee challenge around day 12, when I was unable to move without pain for a week (not from the burpees). Sometimes, your body gives you clear signs that what you are doing is bad and you should stop.
I will be doing this at the track, but not sure when. Also, dont think my pacing is going to tell you much as you lap me repeatedly.
I gave up around day 42.
Track runners - wear a CrossFit t-shirt if you've got one. Let's get the word out that we exist to everyone in Brooklyn who doesn't happen to get off at the Graham Ave L stop and walk in our direction during the hours we're open. :)

Craig- Don't worry about the differences in speed, the stopwatch and the distance markers tell me pacing. It has been so long since I did a marked 1600m run, that I don't know what the speeds "feel" like anymore. I spent some time last night planning out the race next weekend and I want to get a feel for what a 7:30 mile verus a 7 min mile will feel like, so I can pace better during the race.
I did the split breakdown for my target time and it made me a little nervous. Hoping this will make my pacing concerns feel better when I have a concept of how I can actually perform.
Any chance anyone is planning on opening BBB earlier than 1 pm tomorrow? I'd love to come do tomorrow's WOD in the AM if anyone was around...cant do it tomorrow afternoon. Was hoping someone wanted to do it around 10
I'm still in the burpee challenge. My shoulders aren't thanking me for it. This morning it took me close to 40 minutes to do 6 rounds of 33 double unders, 11 burpees.
At least yesterday's burpees are over with now though ;)
saturday there will be a bonus late wod at 3B, if anyone's interested. I wont be free till after 4 pm and will not make bsam's regular scheduled WOD class. So I'll be there around 6pm if any (existing members only) want to get a workout in.

Moon, you guys have any black shirts in Medium? I might come for the evening bonus WOD on Saturday, but otherwise it's a trek to get to BK for me with my work schedule.

Thanks for the info. I'd be interested to hear next time you're out there. I'll also probably grab one from the new order, but would like to get one by the 27th for the Urbanathlon.

I really wanted to run that Urbanathlon but will be at the PennState game instead... I guess I will just have to wait until next year.

obstacles would include some of the parks, a few bars and certain burger joints.
Luger's should definitely be on the burger run...my favorite burger in the city

Chiming in--would love to get in on the city death run. More obstacles = better. And Burgers n' Beer at the end...
On the burpee challenge, I took a week off of everything to allow for some shoulder recovery (which seems to be paying off) but I am back in with Craig's burpee challenge. Today is day 50 for us. No way I'm flat out quitting it. After all...didn't I start this madness (at least in NYC?)
So...6:30 at the McCarren track or BBB?

I'm still in despite my taking occasional rest days because of my work schedule and shoulders.
Today is day 53. This 100 day challenge will probably take 200 days to actually complete, but my push ups are so much better than they used to be so that's a plus.
Did I mention I still hate burpees?
