The (McCarren, right?) park workout sounds like a great idea. So far the weather is supposed to be warm (near 80's!) and mostly sunny so conditions are pretty favorable for us on this one.
Does anyone have specific knowledge of the equipment that's out there? Of course there is definitely a track and I believe some pull-up-able bars, so with a bell or two, we could do Helen or something. Thoughts? Ideas?
two pullup bars and a number of incline benches... there are some kind of parallel bars that you can do L-sits on.
really though not a whole lot besides the pullup bars and track that I recall.
You could also set up a hipster-tossing competition, just to clear up the track a bit.
You can do handstand/pushups against the workout instruction boards too.
wheelbarrow/fireman's carry relay
Broad jump burpee race around the track.
bear crawl, jailhouse burpees

Passed up the deadlifts since my back is still sore from Friday's workout(!)
Instead did:
7 rounds
5 burpee box jumps
5 burpees
20 double unders
Cooldown:
Jailhouse 6 -- burpees, pullups.
Back Squat: 270x3x5
Snatch Deadlifts: 195x3x3
Push press:175x5x5 (185lbs pr in press while warming up)
20 lb abmat sit-ups 3x10
2 pood sidebends 2x10

Started with 295 for work sets and wanted to stick with it for 5 sets, but on the second set just could'nt stand with it again. So took it down. Been a while since I deadlifted. Need to work these more.

Nicole - Excellent work. What you modestly neglected to highlight is that your 3x145 lift blew away your previous 1x115 personal record in the deadlift! Combined with your demonstration of full-range strict pullups and standard pushups, well you are just on a fantastic rampage.

Did my 8-rep on the Angie Challenge. Kind of a let down after yesterday's 5+6+7 makeup combo. This is going to *suck* in January tho.
Grabbed the bar with some weight on it using all fingers. First time in a while. Did 45# bar x10, 10x135#, 5x225#, 3x275#.
Wondering if it's possible to cross 1x400# before the end of this great/awful year...
