"first day back"
The most obvious CrossFit exercise I couldn't do at home was deadlifts. And being deconditioned, to put it gently, I thought it best to take it easy--perhaps just 5x5 at around 225#. Figuring that that would not be enough I was considering something to couple with it, and one thing lead to another so I decided to go with this:

21-15-9
95# thrusters
225# deadlifts
135# cleans
29:32

I was surprised that I haven't lost much strength because the reps were relatively easy. Still I was afraid to go much faster on the cleans as my lower back got really tight as usual (imperfect DL form, most likely), and I am a pussy.

Clearly not a blistering time, but now I can't make any excuses for not going heavy under the pretense of being out of shape, weak or flabby. Glad I got that out of the way.

Or maybe it's true that the skinny bar is in fact lighter. Those thrusters, DLs and cleans all felt deceptively easy...almost as if they were all 10-15# lighter.

Nicole W. - Great work! A+!!! ;)
