Workout

With a continuously running clock do one 135 pound Clean and Jerk the first minute, two 135 pound Clean and Jerks the second minute, three 135 pound Clean and Jerks the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

Use as many sets each minute as needed.

Aw man...normally I would be happy to stay open but on this particular day, I just can't. It's Tiffany's birthday + I've got 2 houseguests coming in to town at some point tonight (+ the one that's already here). So I need to bolt ASAP after the 7:30 WOD class. But maybe another instructor can stay to do a later stay-open. Anyone up?

Did drop the weights which did slow me down. I really wanted to have good form on these but when you are being timed and need to fit in the reps, your form goes to sh#t fast. It becomes a "from the floor to overhead anyhow".
Worked clean and jerks with focus on skill/technique after the WOD.

I've been doing chest-to-bar pull ups for almost a quarter of the year now. I'm not seeing any improvement in my ability to do chest-to-bar pull ups. They are still as hard as ever.

The horrible time was due mostly to the double unders. It's really hard to get into a rhythm when you're constantly distracted by the fact that each rope swing is close enough to snag on or knock over something in a cramped Manhattan apartment. My longest string was 15 (on my last set when I finally found the 'sweet spot' centered between obstructions). Aside from that, I had more than a fair share of false starts and singles.
